The_Vampire_Diaries_Turning_Point.jpgVidar has discovered it gets very cold in the San Fernando Valley, especially when the heat is out on Vidar's 2001 Nissan Sentra.

Last night, Vidar took a little drive by Vidar's house where the she-bitch Solveig currently resides.  (Vidar will win back this house in the divorce settlement or Vidar will burn it to the ground... off the record.)  Solveig and her new man-bitch, Starkad, were inside laughing, eating popcorn and watching a movie by the fire.

Fuck Solveig... she-bitch!

This week's episode of The Vampire Diaries (The Turning Point) looks amazing!  Vidar is hoping for a "turning point" soon in this miserable existence.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 10 - The Turning Point (Original Airdate: November 19, 2009) (Recap courtesy of CWTV.com):

After reading the journal left by one of the Gilbert ancestors, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is inspired to return to his hobby of sketching fantasy creatures, a talent he had abandoned when his parents died.  Much to the surprise of their friends, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Caroline (Candice Accola) continue to hang out together.  When Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) tells Damon (Ian Somerhalder) there has been another attack, he offers to track down the killer and learns a startling piece of information about the town's founding families.  Alaric (guest star Matt Davis) steps in to help during an awkward scene with Jeremy, Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo).  Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) come to a new understanding, but everything changes when Elena accidentally makes a devastating discovery.  Sara Canning and Katerina Graham also star.  J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Kevin Williamson & Julie Plec & Barbie Kligman.

Sounds like a great episode!

Vidar will, once again, be watching via Hulu at the North Hollywood LibraryVivian, the librarian, had better back away from Vidar when her incessant urging that Vidar take a shower.  VIDAR IS GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE AND DOESN'T HAVE A SHOWER IN HIS CAR!

vidar_signoff.jpgVidar - The Norse God Of Silence, Stealth and Revenge
The_Vampire_Diaries_History_Repeating.jpgGoddag.  Vidar has discovered that you can find quite a bit of edible food from the dumpsters behind restaurants.

Things are not going too well for Vidar since the divorce proceedings began from his wife, the she-devil SolveigVidar has found it impossible to secure an apartment and has been living in his 2001 Nissan Sentra.  Surprisingly roomy!

Last week's "The Vampire Diaries" episode - 162 Candles - was an unforgettable hour of television that Vidar will, most likely, never forget.  Vidar had to watch the episode on a free internet connection at the North Hollywood library.  There are many people who smell very bad at the North Hollywood library.  All seem to be there for the free internet.  And all seem to be unemployed.

Anyway, if the great All-Father Odin is reading this blog - PLEASE HELP VIDAR!  Vidar is fucked up.

Tonight's episode of TVD will most likely be the greatest 44 minutes ever witnessed on this planet!

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 9 - History Repeating (Original Airdate: November 12, 2009) (Recap courtesy of SpoilerTV.com)

STEFAN LEARNS THE REASON DAMON RETURNED TO MYSTIC FALLS -- Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) gets a break from the mysterious new history teacher, Alaric Saltzman (guest star Matt Davis, "Legally Blonde") and introduces Alaric to Jenna (Sara Canning). Bonnie (Katerina Graham) is having terrifying dreams about one of her ancestors. Despite Elena's (Nina Dobrev) efforts to smooth things over, Bonnie and Caroline (Candice Accola) continue to argue over the medallion.  When the girls hold a séance to help them decide what to do, the results are stranger than any of them expected. Matt (Zach Roerig) comes to Caroline's aid when she needs a friend.  Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finally reveals to Stefan (Paul Wesley) the stunning reason he has returned to Mystic Falls.

Vidar will be back at the North Hollywood library first thing tomorrow morning to watch this episode.  If, Bob, that burned out, homeless surfer guy with the soiled pants is there, Vidar may wait until the afternoon.

HAPPY WATCHING!

The_Vampire_Diaries_162_Candles.jpgGoddag.  As you may or may not know, Vidar has been going through a very messy divorce.  Because of Vidar's freakish outward appearance and weak job history, it has been very difficult for Vidar to secure an apartment (even in North Hollywood, CA during this horrible recession!).

Vidar is a good risk and those that have turned me down will be banished by Odin to Niflheim where he or she will be bound by their own intestines at a cave near Franang's Falls while snakes drip venom into their mouths... but I digress.

Thank the mighty Odin for what looks like another unbe-freakin-lievable TVD episode:  162 Candles!

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 8 - 162 Candles (Original Airdate: November 5, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com)

On his birthday, Stefan is surprised by a visit from Lexi, one of his oldest friends.  Still upset by the events at the Halloween haunted house, Elena does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice.  Elena and Jenna are surprised by a change in Jeremy's behavior.  At Damon's insistence, Caroline tries to get his medallion back from Bonnie.  Finally, Damon's offer to help Sheriff Forbes has sudden and tragic results.

Vidar has been living in his car but will manage to watch at the library on Hulu...

vidar_signoff.jpgVidar - The Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge
The Vampire_Diaries_Haunted.jpgGoddag!

Vidar has spent the past few days searching for an apartment.  This process sucks badly for Vidar

As you may know, Vidar (the Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge) is going through a horrible divorce from the she-bitch Solveig

Bitch got Vidar's cat, Ottar, and flat screen LCD (which Vidar needs desperately for work).  Vidar is hoping Odin and the other Gods will be kind and help out their fellow God.  Vidar is currently living in a 2001 Nissan Sentra and needs a Best Buy gift card and an apartment before the Halloween episode of The Vampire Diaries.

But fear not, with an episode description this enticing, nothing can keep Vidar from watching - not even the Frost Giants Bergelmir and Thrym who would like nothing more than to further ruin Vidar's life.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 7 - Haunted (Original Airdate: October 29, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com)

As Halloween draws near, Vicki's behavior becomes more dangerous which leads Stefan to try to help her. Elena tries to convince Jeremy to stay away from Vicki, but Jeremy naturally refuses to listen.  Meanwhile, Caroline gives Bonnie a necklace she took from Damon to wear with her Halloween costume for the annual costume party, and when Damon tries to take it back, he is surprised by Bonnie's abilities to repel him. Bonnie discusses the incident with her grandmother and learns more about her family's past as voodoo witches.  Elsewhere, Matt tries to cheer up Vicki by taking her to the high school's haunted house, but the evening soon takes a terrifying turn.
Wowsa!  Vidar is off to look at one bedroom apartments in North Hollywood, CA this afternoon and hoping to find one that already has a refrigerator.

vidar_signoff.jpgVidar - The Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge
The_Vampire_Diaries_Lost_Girls.jpgGoddag!  Regardless of what you might think, beautiful fans of Vidar, Vidar has many super abilities, but going back in time is not one of them.

Yes, Vidar is the Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge  - but Vidar does not have the scientific ability to build a time machine to go back to before he was married to that she-bitch Solveig

No, the divorce is not going well.

Apparently, my soon-to-be-ex-wife Solveig does not have enough Godly powers to earn a decent living.  (She lied to me before we were married and said she was the God of Bountiful Crops.)  So, now Vidar has to pay $1,200 / month and maintain some type of apartment of "a quality to suit her previous lifestyle".   F-ING B!

I will send my failed lawyer (Greg Goldman) to Niflheim (Hell) and instruct Loki (my half-brother and God of the Underworld) to bind him by the intestines to a rock.

But I digress...

This week's' The Vampire Diaries looks to be another classic!

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 6 - Lost Girls (Original Airdate: October 15, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com)

IN A FLASHBACK SEQUENCE, STEFAN REVEALS THE SALVATORE FAMILY HISTORY TO ELENA. Elena demands that Stefan explain the frightening events that have been happening in Mystic Falls.  In flashbacks, Stefan explains how his rivalry with Damon began.  Back in the present, Damon impulsively takes control of Vicki's future, and a confused and frightened Vicki runs away.  Finally, Sheriff Forbes and Mayor Lockwood take steps to protect the town.

Love it love it love it.  Can't wait!

P.S. - Vidar's good friend Jill Kennedy writes a great media industry blog called OnMedea (that's the correct spelling).  Check it out!

The_Vampire_Diaries_Youre_Undead_To_Me.jpgIt has been an insane week for Vidar

On the positive side, it looks as though Vidar will get to keep the big screen LCD TV in the divorce.  The bad news:  Vidar will probably lose Ottar, Vidar's precious cat (and only friend), in the divorce.

But enough about Vidar, this is about The Vampire Diaries!  This week's episode promises true greatness.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 5 - You're Undead To Me (Original Airdate: October 8, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com)

Elena and Jenna have a problem with Jeremy's relationship with VickiStefan comes clean about his past to Elena.  At a fund-raiser, Bonnie is taken aback by how advanced her powers are, and turns to her grandmother for guidance.  Elena uncovers some news about the Salvatore family.

Vidar is very excited and may have to take a few horse tranquilizers in order to sleep before Thursday night's show!

Pray for Vidar.  It's another week of legal bullshit as the great battle for Ottar the Cat begins.

The_Vampire_Diaries_Family Ties.jpgVidar is very excited about Episode 4.  I suspect things will be mighty crazy at the Founder's Park dance (whatever the F that is).

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1 - Episode 4 - Family Ties (Original Airdate: October 1, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com)

Elena asks a reluctant Stefan to go with her to the annual Founder's Park dance.  Vicki gets Tyler to ask her, but later accuses him of hiding their drug-induced relationship from his aunt Jenna.  Meanwhile, Zach reveals a family secret to StefanDamon finally tells Elena the secret history about the Salvatore family and how she is the dead-splitting image of Stefan's lost love.  Stefan tries to get Damon out of his life for good without giving away Damon's (or his) secret.

Sounds awesome, right?!  My only real concern is whether they are bringing Elena in too quickly on the Salvatore back story.  It seems more like something that could be saved for the end of the season and explored fully next year.  I would like her more in the dark for a few more episodes.  But we'll see.

As you all know from my post last week, Vidar is going through a nasty divorce and his mind is not quite on his work lately.  Please forgive me me.  My dedication to this show will return shortly.  My main focus right now is making sure I get my large screen LCD TV in the settlement!

vidar_signoff.jpgVidar - The Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge
The_Vampire_Diaries_Friday_Night_Bites.jpgGreat episodes tonight!

It would appear that Ian Somerhalder (ahem, Damon Salvatore) has been working out.  Nice shirtless, Damon.  Well played.

Stefan on the football team is going to be great fun.  Though I have a feeling football will not prove to be "his thing".  And will he try to play as a normal high school kid or as a kick ass vampire with mad football skills?

We'll find out in the coming weeks.  The show is working great so far!

Vidar's analysis will become more detailed soon.  Things are a little crazy at The God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge's house these days.  Vidar is currently going through a really bizarre and messy divorce (something straight out of Mystic Falls!) but will be returning to normal soon.  I hope.  I pray.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 1, Episode 3 - Friday Night Bites (Original Air Date: September 24, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com):  Tyler tries to embarrass Stefan by throwing a football at him during practice.  However, Stefan's super-skills of catching a football impresses Mr. Tanner who tries to persuade Stefan to join the school's football team.  Meanwhile, Elena continues to ignore the semi-psychic Bonnie's warnings that Stefan is not who he claims to be.  So, Elena invites Stefan and Bonnie over for dinner at her house.  She hopes that they will get know each other better, but her plan ends up backfiring.
Vidar cannot wait for next week's show:  Episode 4 - "You're Undead to Me" (GREAT TITLE!)

vidar_signoff.jpgVidar - The Norse God of Silence, Stealth and Revenge
Vidar really loves this show!  I'm so glad The CW has given it a full season order!

The_Vampire_diaries_Night_of_the_comet.jpgThe Vampire Diaries - Season 1, Episode 2 - Night Of The Comet (Original Air Date: September 17, 2009) (Recap courtesy of IMDB.com):

As Mystic Falls prepares for a festival to celebrate the passing of a comet, Vicki is in the hospital recovering from the attack she can barely remember.  Stefan goes to the hospital and tries to use his abilities to make sure Vicki doesn't remember what really happened, but his attempt is cut short when Vicki's brother Matt arrives. Jeremy continues to struggle at school and with his feelings for Vicki.  At a parent/teacher conference, Mr. Tanner makes Aunt Jenna feel that she is failing as a surrogate parent, especially when it comes to the self-destructive JeremyElena decides to go to the Salvatore house to talk to Stefan, but finds his charming brother Damon instead.  Damon reveals surprising information about Stefan's past, and when Stefan arrives home, Elena is confused and embarrassed to realize that he isn't happy to see her there. Meanwhile, Vicki's memory of the attack begins to come back to her.  Also, Damon begins to set his sights on Caroline.

Like I said, Vidar really loves this show.  They've packed quite a bit of exposition into the first couple of shows, so I would urge anyone who hasn't seen it from the beginning to go to The CW website and get caught up!  You do have to download YET ANOTHER VIDEO PLAYER (which is a big mistake by The CW - when will people learn?) but it's worth it to see the first two episodes.

Damon Salvatore is the break-out character of the year!

vampire_diaries_season_1.jpgThanks so much to everyone who participated in last night's amazing LIVE BLOG!  I will have an archive of the session up later (I have a couple of file folder technical things to sort out).

What am amazing first episode!  It's going to be a great year!
