I'm not sure if Manka Bros. was planning a topic on Screenwriting, but I thought I'd start one anyway. Screenwriting and the Internet are going to have to collide at some point. I'm a webmaster and budding screenwriter and maybe soon I can do both at the same time. Any thoughts?

Screenwriter and webmaster, huh? Regardless of what yer daddy says, you've come to the WRITE place. Manka Bros. will be happy to look at anything you've got. Who knows, your script could be the next Rampage of the Stegosaur. If anyone has any questions about screenwriting I'll do what I can to answer them. After all, I am co-president of film production at Manka Bros. Studios.

Um, okay, RobinRafe, I sent you several e-mails but have yet to hear back. Do I need an agent or something? Do you guys take unsolicited stuff? I have a few screenplays and several other ideas that I'd love to talk about.

I wouldn't get discouraged from a lack of response to your emails, dictionary. I sent over 500 emails to Manka Bros. before they even told me about the screenplay competition. And look on the homepage, I was the winner of the contest! Persistence, my friend. Hang in there.

I've already sent over 400 e-mails to Robin Rafe alone! Persistence sucks! She posted a couple of days ago that she would answer any questions I had. Where is she now? I really need money.

I do have a full time job, dictionary. However, I am certainly available as part of my duties as moderator of these boards, to answer any questions about Movies (which includes screenwriting) that you may have. You might want to resend your e-mail. Sometimes they get deleted before I read them.

Everyone on this board is witness to this post. I just resent all 400 of my e-mails to Robin Rafe, Co-President of Film Production at Manka Bros. Studios and I have yet to hear back! If this is way it works in Hollywood, then give me New York any day!

Just wondering when the 9th Annual Screenplay competition is taking place. I'm not exactly sure what you look for in scripts, but I like the fact that you break nearly all the rules from format to content. This sounds like a contest I might like to enter. Please respond.

I'm not sure of the exact dates. Robin Rafe is solidifying the details. She's been out sick for about a week. I think the submission deadline is around November 1st.

Lloyd was correct. The deadline for the Screenplay competition is November 1st. More details will be coming once we start to promote the contest - sometime this Summer.

As last year's winner, I highly recommend this contest. It's made a big difference in my ability to get stuff read.

Okay, I've heard different things about this contest. Is it a first draft contest? Or do you want the best we can do? Please respond? GO FLYERS!

At Manka Bros., we're fans of raw writing. First thought, best thought. And if you are thinking of a hit film, even better.
