Looks like another stinker for Kim Bassinger. Compilation from www.showbizdata.com

Reviews of the horror film Bless the Child are, for the most part, no less reviling. Kempley in the Washington Post, for example, writes: "The scariest thing about this hokey bombast is that it got made in the first place." Indeed, Jonathan Foreman in the New York Post comments that by the end of film, he wondered "if the screenplay ... wasn't finished off by distracted studio execs." (The movie, Foreman added, is "at times so bad it feels like a Leslie Nielsen joke.") And Jay Carr in the Boston Globe comments: "The deflatingly ordinary Bless the Child causes one to wish, not for the first time, that movies about the supernatural could make contact with supernatural script doctors." (Which raises the question, would they be called ghost writers?)

This just looks awful. It's like trying to be the Omen and Sixth Sense and - no one going to bite on this piece of shit. Reviews are terrible - forget it.

I actally spent $3.50 to go see this movie, it's too bad they don't offer refunds. This movie was ridiculous, they threw every hokey cliche at the audience they could.
I especially like the fog filter of whatever it was they used on all of Kim Basinger's close-ups.

But Channel 14 in Louisville, Kentucky said this movie "out-Sixth Sense's the Six Sense." What's up with that?

This is a terrible movie. It's like straight to video schlock.
