The reviews are in AND THEY ARE HOT!"Not since 'The Godfather' has there been a film so powerful' - NY Times "Once in a lifetime, a film is released that deserves The Nobel Prize" - Time Magazine "If only AIDS scientists cared as much about their craft as Seagal cares about his, this disease would have been wiped out years ago." - Village Voice I can't wait to see it. But I would imagine the lines will be so long, I may not be able to get in until sometime in the late summer. IP: Logged |

I don't want to see it, but it just might do very well. It's not because of Seagal. It's because of DMX, the soundtrack and marketing. Of course, if it fails, it is completely because of Seagal.IP: Logged |

Here's another example of marketing able to open a picture. Warner Bros. rolls over for Morgan Creek/Franchise Films (as well they should) because you know if this movie was a Franchise Film with the same cast, it would have opened at $5 million. A $20 million dollar opening is what the studio can do when it's their own money on the line. I think they pull back when they are just distributing a film with no other ties.IP: Logged |

The good news is that Exit Wounds, aside from it's awful title - is Seagal's best film in quite a few years. While action stars as a whole have been on the decline for some time, Seagal has returned to the niche that has served him best. Once again he plays a tough good guy cop, who winds up at odds with his superiors. The story doesn't make an ounce of sense - and some of the acting is god awful, but there is enough action and humor on hand to make it entertaining. IP: Logged |
