Embarassed to say it, but I hadn't seen this one until today (despite trying to rent it, catch it on cable, again and again). FANTASTIC - lived up to all my expectations!!! Wilder is a genius. (And I don't throw terms like that out there lightly.) Not sure where I'd rank this amongst Wilder films, but it'd be up near the top (I know Some Like It Hot would still be number one for me.) Definitely one of the best movies about Hollywood. A great film. Recent great films about Hollywood include The Player and, now. Adaptation.IP: Logged |

Wilder is, of course, a genius. Never a doubt about that.IP: Logged |

Been awhile since I've seen Day of the Locust. Started to reread it recently (a few months ago) and got sidetracked before finishing. Which is a better book "Locust" or "What Makes Sammy Run"?IP: Logged |
