Just like the title says, theatre is boring. Unless it involves dancing and semi-nudity, then it's cool.

I think the main reason theatre is dying is because it can never be as cool as TV, I mean let's be honest.

I especially like watching plays on television. It's much better than sitting in a theater.

Both of you are clearly clueless and uneducated. Theatre is the source from which all life and expression began.

You people make me sick.

Did you say "expression" or "depression"?

Theater (non-geek spelling) is only kept alive by people who like to feel smarter than the film going public. But I don't think THEY even like it.

Well, kiev, we don't consider our spelling of theatre as "geekish" - we consider it correct. We also believe strongly that theatre can change (not to sound pretentious)... can change the world.

Where were you when you first saw Death of Salesman or The Heidi Chronicles? We absolutely feel that Gulag: A New Musical will make people reevaluate that whole slave prison camp thing from the Soviet Union.

I was in junior high when I first saw "Death of a Salesman"... My sister was in the High School production of it. It changed my life.

Been taking a more active interest in the theater lately. Anyone got any pictures of Kathleen Turner naked from The Graduate or Nicole Kidman from The Blue Room?

Better yet, anyone have nekkid pics from Michelle Williams (of "Dawson's Creek" infame) in "Killer Joe" Off-Broadway? Thinking of casting her in a movie and the headshot I have doesn't do her justice.

A friend of mine has a digital video of that show, including use of the digital zoom during Michelle Williams' naked scenes. Would that be sufficient?

My sister is an actress and I went to a party with her one time and there were actors there that were all just in a play together at a small theatre in Hollywood. I think the play was some Shakespeare play. It was funny, because there was guy that was friends with all of them and he had just done a guest spot on the Jamie Foxx show and he was getting so much attention. Isn't it weird that a guy on the Jamie Foxx show gets more attention than people doing Shakespeare?

Whoa, imagine that. People get more excited over someone with a paying acting job than someone using Shakespeare as a showcase to get on the Jamie Foxx show. Ooh, I guess only scientists will understand that one.

Here is a saying that I read once:

Theatre is art,
Film is life,
Television is furniture...

Theater is fake...
Television is fake...
Film is fake...
Everything is fake... nothing is art.

so what if theater is dead. Theater would have been dead in Shakespeare's time if they had TV.
