Cats closes on Sunday, September 10. It's the longest running show in Broadway history. Thanks for the "Memories", Cats. Where were you when you first saw Cats?

I saw this show in London the first week it opened in 1981. I didn't understand it then, I didn't enjoy it and I don't know why it has been so popular over the years.

Closing after 18 years tonight. I have a feel the cast party will be a little crazy. My guess is there will be lots of drunken gay cat sex tonight!

I don't think any cast on Broadway needs it to be closing night in order to have drunken gay sex. I think that happens every night.

I first saw Cats in Chicago in the late 1980s. I ate 3 pot brownies right before the show - and it was the greatest show I have ever seen!

Here's a question: Have we seen the last of the singing animal musicals? Will there ever be another singing animal musical?

I should imagine it will be the last singing cat musical and thank God for that.

Does the Lion King count as a singing cat musical?

I wouldn't be so quick to believe that. Could be a trick. The greatest magicians have something to learn from Mr. Mistoffolees conjuring turn.
